Message from Hogwarts

Sunnie’s owl flew all the way to Lanzarote to deliver a message. Turns out it wasn’t anything important, something about his application for Hogwarts.

On Top of the World – well Pen y Fan at least.

We (not Mum) went ‘wild-camping’ – the complete opposite of ‘glamping’ for the uninitiated – to the Brecon Beacons.  The weather wasn’t too kind but we largely stayed dry.  Day 2 saw a trip up the highest mountain in the Brecons – Pen-y-Fan.

They enjoyed it more than they look, honest!

Another pic from the top and a view of Pen y Fan from the next mountain along, Corn du.

Dad in the World’s Biggest Scrum

The saying goes, ‘What goes on tour stays on tour’ but this is an exception.

When Sunnie and Dad were on rugby tour last week at Burnham-on-Sea RFC, Dad got to participate in a world record attempt at creating the world’s biggest rugby scrum.

There are 192 in scrum. Dad is number 8 in the third row.

Sunnie is 10

The candles go out on Sunnie’s 10th birthday – and guess what he got for his birthday?

Sunnie Catches A Wave

Apparently the lingo, for when you actually manage to stand up on your surfboard and ride a wave, is you ‘catch a wave’. Sunnie’s first words after his first Surf lesson on Pacific Beach, San Diego was ‘Dad, I caught a wave’ – which I gather is pretty good going for your first day. Here he is in action.

Uncle Stephen’s Wedding

At last, a family wedding in Northern Ireland. Stephen and David tie the knot.  Emily and Anna looked spectacularly pretty and Sunnie, as always, chose his own outfit.  Posing for a photo though was a bit harder. Emily and Anna weren’t too happy with Sunnie messing around.

And, of course, the happy couple.

Rock Climbing in Looe

Easter Weekend in Looe, Cornwall. In between the showers there was some sunshine so time for some rock climbing. Believe it or not, there was even a ladder…

Girls Football Action

Emily and Anna are ‘ace’ football players – at least that’s what Dad thinks. Have a look for yourself and tell us what you think.

Emily, goal-keeping action (I know you can’t see her face)..

Go-Karting

For Sunnie’s Birthday he and few friends went go-karting. The boys and girls had a great time as would-be Lewis Hamiltons. I don’t think the stewards enjoyed it so much. A few close shaves and they threatened to stop they racing if everyone didn’t slow down.
